~SCORE!!!!!~

Look at what I SNAGGED today!!!!!

Isn't it just FANTASTIC???

Can we say I LOVE fireplaces????

Can we say I LOVE people who sell BEAUTIFUL fireplaces on KSL????

I am so excited I can't stand it...and yes, I am going to PAINT it.
When I said that to my neighbor today, she kind of looked at me like I had two heads!!! LOL!
Yes, it's very beautiful the way it is but...I paint EVERYTHING!
Sadly enough, before my mother in law passed away 7 years ago, she made me PROMISE to NEVER paint the GRAND PIANO my husband was inheriting and I said absolutely, I PROMISE :). Therefore, everything else is free game!
Now, I just have to figure out what color...
~Have a great night~

  1. Hey there, cool fire mantle! I lol'd at your comment about the lady looking at you like you had two heads, I get that alot when I tell people I paint stuff! Lots of people just don't get it...like, well, yes, it is beautiful mahogany or whatever, but it is dark, and dated, and ugly, and paint will make it fresh and new and gorgeous, and give it more appeal to people...how hard is that for some people to understand you wonder?

  3. I wont paint oak but any other wood yes. I think the mantel would be beutiful painted. I guess I may have 2 heads to. I put an electric insert in mine from Lowes. I love to sit by the fire at night. The modle I got has an on / off button for the heat. When the heat is off it only has flames.

  4. Oh, I love it! I'm excited to see what you do with it. I have one that's been sitting in my garage for a couple years and I just told my husband I need to refinish it and install it. He also looked at me like I had 2 heads. Why wouldn't you just put it up like it is? Well, honey because its an ugly oak color, duh!
